Goomeri

Arrived here at Goomeri after seeing beautiful lush green pastures and valleys. Got to our camp site at Goomeri Caravan and Bush camp. The camp site is approx 5km from Goomeri on the Kilkivan Road. The place has showers, toilets, water, and at present had beautiful green grass. After setting up our camp site we headed towards the camp fire which they had a damper cooking. The next day was a test day and Lesley and myself walked to see if we could see the koala but no luck. Johnny and Alexander walked up the mountain. Again another camp fire with a damper cooking away. To end Australia day there was again a fantastic sunset. The day after Australia day was an awesome day. Travelling to Maidenwell to see the Coomba falls. No water was going over them but the large water attracted some people to do swimming or just to have a bbq. The cliffs were nice. From Maidenwell we went up the mountain to the Bunya Mountains which is a very long time since we have been up there. Stopped st the lookout to look across the valley toward Toowoomba Dalby area. Then into the township where we had scones snd coffee for morning tea before heading to Bjelki Peterson Dam to have our lunch. Then from there we headedto a winery called Clovely Estate Winery snd got 2 bottles and a port. Before returning to our camp we went to any other Waterfall called Kinbombi Falls and once again no water was running over it which was disappointing after been told that there was water running over the falls. They have had a quiet a bit of rain so yes i thought maybe a trickle would have been nice. Got back to see s beautiful sunset Rest day today washing , cooking and then to end today was a beautiful rainbow and a stunning sunset.
