Camboon road bridges.

In the afternoon we went for a drive along this dirt road until we came to Camboon where there is about 3 old road bridges that are built by the Italian interns from the war. Again they are damaged from floods. They are built from stone and timber.

More Bridges around Gayndah

The next day we were still on the lookout for more heritage bridges. Some of the bridges were damaged through flood waters and also some bridges were hard to get to but with determination we did succeeded.

Railway bridges at Humphrey

Next day we had a train tour guide through the train which has been revamped as a coffee area. The coffee carriage is open for entertaining about once a month. Old Railway Bridges

Left after lunch to explore for some old Bridges and Railway bridges. Found an old bridge and remnants of a couple of bridges that were destroyed through floods at Humprey. Came across an old milk can which the tree trunk had grown around it. Went to Archer lookout and seen the town of Gayndah.

Gayndah

Left Goomeri for Gayndah staying at the Heritage Railway Station. While staying here at Gayndah we went looking for old bridges. Our 1st bridge we saw in the area was the upside down bridge ,old huts, the Burnett river that runs in Gayndah, McConnell Lookout , views over the mountains, Claude Wharton Weir.

Easter 2022

Got away for Easter staying at Goomeri Showgrounds We went for a day trip over to Amamoor Creek to visit the boys. While there we had a beautiful morning tea and lunch. After lunch we then we for a drive and came across a beautiful old railway bridge. It was an awesome day

Bigriggen
