Kingaroy area

Arrived in Kingaroy for a seven night stay staying at the Kingaroy showgrounds @$28 a night or if your stay for seven you pay for six. For that price you get power, water, showers and toilets. The only problem is red dirt. We got buy. We looked around Kingaroy and saw the silos, went up to a lookout and saw some beautiful scenery from top of the hill on the outskirts of the town.

Took a day trip to Wondi and saw the Heritage museum which had alot of interesting information. From there we went to the Woodcraft workplace which showed all different timbers then over to the collectables shop across the road. Not that interesting but ok. Got a coffee before off on a drive going through towns like Proston and Hivesville till we got to Lake Boondooma. Little tiny towns are so quaint. It was lovely and green as on way to the Dam. Got quite a lot rain on our way there as well. At the dam we had our packed lunch. Then we drove around the outskirt of the dam. On our way back going through Proston came across a peacock and a old combie at Greenview. It was a great day had by the four of us. Enjoyed it.
