Leaving home we went through towns from Liston to Woodenbong and arriving in Rathdowney in time for lunch. Travelling along this road which is Mt Lindesay Highway we came across lovely countryside. Even though it is dry it is still. Ice looking over the mountains. Saw an old bridge at Koreelah. Beautiful foliage along the highway at Dairy Flat. Beautiful creeks with little water just enough for people to go swimming. Lunch at Rathdowney was scrumptious. They have a nice camping grounds at the Memorial grounds and caravan park. From here we went down the Lions Road to the Loop lookout where you could look out the railway line to Kyogle. Along this road there is some beautiful camping areas which some are quite big. Further down this road came upon the railway bridge which was under maintainance. The road then comes back onto Mt Lindesay highway between Woodenbong and Kyogle. Fromthere to Casino through Tenterfield then home to Stanthorpe. It was a great day out.
