Cairns trip with the Granddaughters

Then we have arrived in Mackay. After a couple of days we set of for Cairns with Monique Lainey and Heidi stopping in Home Hill for the night and then to Babinda free camp where there is showers and toilets and a donation box. We get to Cairns and booked into the Coconut resort caravan park for 6 nights. This caravan park has the best water park ,swimming pools, mimi golf course , large chess game ,tennis everything you can think if to entertain the kids in a big way. We filled in our day by going up to Port Douglas and while we there there was a ship in which was called the Sea Princess. Because it was in the girls took advantage of doing some shopping at the markets. They loved the idea of putting rocks on top of one another to build towers out if them. We went to sugar world water park and Heidi just loved it with large water slides and tunnel rides. Then off we go to kuranda rail to Kuranda. The loved the rail train ride seeing the Barron Falls. We also spent . The next day we drove to Kuranda so the girls could do some shopping . Had lunch at the same hotel that we went previous day. We were also able to catch up with Chris and Scott which they invited us around for dinner. We had a great night catching up with them. Then it was all over. Travelling back to Mackay we were able to call into the Babinda Boulders to show the girls and see the big mango with photos of the watermellon and pumpkin. We again stayed at Home Hill
