Bigriggen Camp Grounds

Located approximately 45km from Boonah and about 120km south of Brisbane Bigriggen camp ground is a huge, lush-green acreage. A great place for families and friends to get together and simply enjoy everything that nature has to offer.

There is so much at this place for campers, families and children. Everything from fishing to swimming and bush bike riding.  Bigriggen even has a small bike track which is very popular with the children. The swimming and fishing holes very popular and will keep the children of all ages entertained for hours.

In the middle of the camp ground is a wonderful old fallen tree where all the children use it to meet up. At night you see all the bon fires around each of the camps.  Camping just isn’t camping without sitting around the fire with a glass of red or what ever your drink of choice… and of course you can’t forget the marshmallows to toast. Sitting around the camp fire is also great to watch the planes fly over and to count how many satellites you can see but it is more delightful just to sit and watch the stars which i think is awesome.

This place is truly wonderful whether you camp in a tent, camper van, camper trailer or a caravan. The area accommodates for large or small caravans. There is also power sites for the people who which to use power.

Bigriggen has showers and toilets and also a bath for the children. The new owners  have said they intend to improve the amenities in the near future. The amenities block also has a dump point for portable camping and caravan toilets.

The fauna is plentiful and the scenery around the area, with beautiful mountains, is just magical. If your supplies run short the office has a small range of items or quick drive to Rathdowney General store or take the beautiful drive to Boonah where you will find a very good IGA supermarket.
