Mt Field National Park

Left Geeveston Wednesday afer having Christmas there A nice quiet Christmas. Got to Mt Field NP set up camp and the went for a guided tour with Ranger Emma to Russell Falls. Saw a platypus on our way back to camp from the falls. Thursday was the day we went down to Strathgordon, Lake Pedder and the Gordon Dam. The scenery is quite breathtaking. It was a shame that the weather was not in our favour. Yesterday being Friday was a very stenous walking up340 stairsand steep paths. Saw Russell Falls , the Tall Trees, Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barrin Falls. Then back to camp after walking for 3hrs. Had lunch then drove 16km to Lake Dopson and 2 more lakes on the top of the mountain. The walk around Lake Dopson was done with Ranger Emma and it took 1.5 hrs. Very interesting. Would have liked to have done the creature walk last night but my legs were too sore
