Devonport to Launceston

Here we are in Tasmania. From Devonport to Beaconfield we went through the mine museum where Brant Webb and Todd Russell went through the experience trapped in the mine

From Beaconfield to Georgetown we drive over Batman’s Bridge then onto our camp for 5 nights. We use this place as our base It is at Myrtle Park Quite a big area ,amenities,laundry,hot showers. It is along the creek good for fishing for trout and swimming Also there is playground for the children

We have travelled a large area in around the NE of Tasmania We travelled to Lillydale were every light pole has got murals painted on them and to Lillydale falls From the carpark it is about 10 min walk toboth falls Easy walking. Then looking through towns Scottsdale which make delicious salad rolls from the Scottsdale bakery , then Dreby which they have a good free camp, St Helens which we saw St Colombia Falls From the carpark to the falls is 1.2km steep walking back Wear good walking shoes

Our cruise up the Tamar River was fantastic Saw beautiful old building ,a silo getting rebuilt into an 10 story apartments,birdlife, farm land , the turned around at Batman Bridge. On returning we cruised up Cataract Gorge which was fantastic. During our cruise we had a beautiful morning tea , wine and beer tasting and a delicious lunch .
